Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in Mombasa, I appreciated the hotel's prime location, allowing easy access to the vibrant local culture. The friendly staff were a significant highlight, consistently providing helpful service, and special thanks to Liz for her exceptional assistance. My arrival at 4 AM was made seamless by the prompt pickup from the station and immediate room access. The 24-hour reception was convenient, accommodating my needs at all hours. While the size of the room was satisfactory, the overall upkeep of the property left much to be desired. The air conditioning unit was dated and the fan noisy, making restful sleep a challenge. The breakfast met basic expectations but fell short on quality, featuring inexpensive cutlery and subpar coffee. The staff’s genuine warmth enhanced the experience, though some features felt rather overlooked.
